Amy Benham

Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the conference. I am so excited and thankful to be here, and to be able to share Growing Your Faith with you. I started Growing Your Faith because I wanted to share the love of God's word with other women. I wanted to teach them how to spend time with God and grow their relationship with Him.

I grew up in a home that was "religious." I knew God from a very young age and was saved at 9 years old. I do not believe that I really understood the commitment that I was making at that time, but I did believe in Jesus with my whole heart. Unfortunately, growing up in the home that I was in, with a mother who was controlling and manipulative and a father that just did not interact, I had a very messed up view of myself and of God.

But God led me to people who would help to change all of that. He also led me to His word, and I began to realize who He truly was. He showed me how loved I was and helped me to battle all of my fears. Learning truth from lies was exactly what I needed!

This is what I want for other women. To shed the past, the hurt, and the fear, by digging into God's word and learning who He really is.
