The focus of the session is how Jesus healed Mary Magdalene and, because of this personal experience, she became a follower and true believer. Mary Magdalene supported his ministry out of her wealth. She was a witness to his death and Resurrection. She was the first Jesus appeared to because of her faith and belief. Over the centuries, this portrait of Mary Magdalene changes. She is described as a prostitute and often confused with other Marys in the New Testament. Today, we will frame her as the Gospels portray her and try to understand her as Jesus did.
