About this Session
For my session, we're going to explore the story of Deborah, a judge and prophet in the Bible. Deborah was an exceptional leader who helped defeat a powerful Canaanite army. In those days, it was uncommon for a woman to hold such a position, but God chose Deborah to lead the Israelites to victory. Her story shows how God can use anyone, regardless of their gender, to accomplish His purposes.
Deborah's story is not just about war. It highlights her close relationship with God, which gave her the wisdom to guide the Israelites. She held court under a palm tree, where people came to her for judgment and advice. When God instructed her to summon Barak to lead the army against the Canaanites, Deborah's faith and courage inspired him and the troops. With God's guidance, Deborah and Barak led the Israelites to a triumphant victory. This story demonstrates how faith and obedience to God can lead to extraordinary outcomes, even through the most unexpected people. We will take a close look at this story and God's secret weapon.
